SUMMARY:LOVE & MONEY - FROM ME 2 WE
DESCRIPTION:Love and Money: From Me 2 We\nMake Money Talk Sexy!\nEric and Elaine present a lighthearted approach to discussing difficult subjects: MONEY! For National Marriage Week! Let’s face it\, discussing money\, whether you’re in a relationship or navigating the murky financial waters alone\, can get fairly ugly. Christmas has come and gone\, and with it the added worry and anxiety that comes with managing household finances! Learn about your financial beliefs and habits to help you take action against overspending and reduce your stress this Christmas.\n\n\nWe can all agree that there are messages from our family about money that have been observed\, heard\, passed down\, or inherited regarding money. Some of us saw money as “mine or yours” or the cause of physical\, mental\, or verbal fights or spending frivolously\, and even as a weapon to control another person. Whatever your family history of money\, we’re going to empower you with the skills to turn around the negative history and replace it with a fresh\, new attitude and habits!\n\n\nAmong Americans surveyed\, 41% said financial issues have an impact on relationships with spouses/partners at least some of the time. According to a 2018 Northwestern Mutual study on personal money matters\, participants said they have financial disagreements with their significant other at least monthly.\n\nThere’s an old saying among women that says\, “What’s his is mine; what’s mine is mine!” A big part of financial woes is division of financial responsibility. Oftentimes\, when both partners work and can’t agree on money matters or find the time to talk about them\, they decide to divide the bills down the middle or assign them in some other fair and equitable manner. It sounds good until someone comes up short. This process often builds resentment over the individual purchases made\, and it can lead to relationship-ruining behavior like financial infidelity\, wherein one spouse hides money from the other.\n\n\nThere is a proverb that says\, “The rich rule over the poor\, and the borrower is the slave of the lender.” Financial baggage\, from school loans to car loans to credit cards to gambling habits\, all come to the altar and say\, “I do!” The sparks fly when discussions about income\, spending\, and debt servicing come up in premarital counseling or a new marriage. Know this: there are nine states in which all property and debts are shared after marriage\, regardless of individual or joint account status. So\, you have to ask yourself the question if you can take on a thought process that says\, “If you’re broke\, we are broke!” Are you both slaves together or not? Are you willing to do the work to get on the same page?\n\n\n\nArizona\, California\, Nevada\, Idaho\, Washington\, New Mexico\, Texas\, Louisiana\, and Wisconsin are community-property states where you are not liable for most of your spouse’s debt that was incurred before marriage\, but any debt incurred after the wedding is automatically shared—even when applied for individually.\n\n\nLet’s be honest; if you can’t relate to the previous issues\, we’re sure you’ve encountered these: money as a reward for good behavior\, money as proof or to show love\, or I’ll be happy when I have a lot of money. These beliefs are part of the foundation of your personality and play a big role in discussions and habits about money. It is important to know what your money personality is—as well as that of your partner—and to discuss these differences openly.\n\n\nAccording to the American Psychological Association’s “2104 Stress in America Survey\,” a third of adults with partners report that money is a big source of conflict in their relationships. It’s no wonder that financial problems are a leading cause of divorce. Yet\, divorce is so expensive and complicated! The cost of divorce will only add to the fight about money!\n\nJoin Eric and Elaine\, along with a community of couples and singles\, for this fun\, interactive financial skills workshop! In this 4-hour workshop\, you will explore\, identify\, and understand how spending behaviors reflect unconscious habits and attitudes that were acquired in our childhood and how they persist regardless of financial savvy or economic status. You’ll learn skills\, have the opportunity to practice\, and be given time for Q&A.\nWho should attend?\n\nSingles who want to know themselves more and/or want to prepare for marriage\nSeriously dating singles\nEngaged Couples\nMarried Couples\n\nAttendees will be empowered to:\n\n\nIdentify their own attitude toward money\nBe aware of triggers about money\nMake money conversations fun\nGain new perspectives from others\nBuild rapport and trust with themselves and their partner\nBecome the change by creating a new money legacy and power moves!\n\n\nThis is not your standard financial literacy event; this is a liberating game changer!\n\nTickets:\n\nCouples or Singles with a friend\nSingles\n\nAbout your hosts:\nEric & Elaine are a husband and wife team known as Relationship Coaches\, with over 20 years of experience transforming relationships through skills training workshops for everyday leaders who value relationships as individuals\, couples\, career professionals\, and small corporate teams.  \nThis workshop is hosted by e2 Eric & Elaine\, a relationship education and skills training company\, offering healthy relationship skills and tools for professionals to increase success at home and work. \nOnce you register\, you will be provided an email with details regarding the address and next steps. Some of us saw money as “mine or yours” or the cause of physical/mental/verbal fights or spending frivolously and even used as a weapon to control another person. Whatever your family history of money\, we’re gonna empower you with skills to turn around the negative history and replace it with a fresh\, new attitude and habits! \n\n\nAmong Americans surveyed\, 41% said financial issues have an impact on relationships with spouses/partners at least some of the time. According to a 2018 Northwestern Mutual study on personal money matters\, participants said they have financial disagreements with their significant other at least monthly.\n\nThere’s an old saying among women that says\, “What’s his is mine\, what’s mine is mine!” A big part of financial woes is division of financial responsibility. Oftentimes\, when both partners work and can’t agree on money matters or find the time to talk about them\, they decide to divide the bills down the middle or assign them in some other fair and equitable manner. Sounds good until someone comes up short. This process often builds resentment over the individual purchases made and it can lead to relationship-ruining behavior like financial infidelity\, wherein one spouse hides money from the other. \n\nThere is a proverb that says\, “The rich rules over the poor\, and the borrower is the slave of the lender.” Financial baggage\, from school loans to car loans to credit cards to gambling habits all come to the altar and say. “I do!” The sparks fly when discussions about income\, spending\, and debt servicing come up in premarital counseling or new marriage. Know this\, there are nine states in which all property and debts are shared after marriage regardless of individual or joint account status. So\, you have to ask yourself the question if you can take on a thought process that says\, “if you’re broke\, we broke!” Are you both slaves together or no? Are you willing to do the work to get on the same page?\n\n\nArizona\, California\, Nevada\, Idaho\, Washington\, New Mexico\, Texas\, Louisiana\, and Wisconsin are community-property states where you are not liable for most of your spouse’s debt that was incurred before marriage\, but any debt incurred after the wedding is automatically shared—even when applied for individually.\n\nLet’s be honest\, if you can’t relate to the previous issues\, we’re sure you’ve encountered these… money as a reward for good behavior\, money as proof or to show love\, or I’ll be happy when I have a lot of money. These beliefs are part of the foundation of your personality and lay a big role in discussions and habits about money. It is important to know what your money personality is—as well as that of your partner—and to discuss these differences openly.\n\nAccording to the American Psychological Association\, “2104 Stress in America Survey\,” a third of adults with partners report that money is a big source of conflict in their relationships\, it’s no wonder that financial problems are a leading cause of divorce. Yet\, divorce is so expensive and complicated! The cost of divorce will only add to the fight about money!\n\nJoin Eric & Elaine\, along with a community of couples/singles\, for this fun\, interactive financial skills workshop! In this 2 hour workshop\, you will explore\, identify and understand how spending behaviors reflect unconscious habits and attitudes that were acquired in our childhood and how they persist regardless of financial savvy or economic status. It definitely helped us realize that we are all on the same team. It has brought us closer together\, and I would highly recommend this course!” \nThe Butlers. \n  \n  \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Vickey’s workshop experience \n“Their lives is transparent. Nothing to hide. They love the Lord and truly use the gift he has given them to bless the body of Christ as well as the community by restoring broken families.” \nVickey N. \n  \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Disconnected relationships \nWhat does it mean to feel disconnected?\nIf you are in a relationship and feel disconnected from each other\, you should gather as much information as possible. While we all go through this stage in our relationships\, it is critical to determine whether it is just a phase or if the problem is more serious. You must be aware of the signs of disconnection in a relationship. They will assist you in determining whether you need to work harder or consider other options. \nYour relationship isn’t as strong as it once was when you’re experiencing relationship disconnect. You might notice that you’re growing apart\, spending less time together\, and don’t seem to care about your partner as much as you used to. \nThis can happen in any relationship and happens gradually. It will not appear overnight\, so it may be difficult to spot the warning signs until the situation becomes serious. \n  \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Signs of disconnection \nEarly Signs of Disconnect in Relationships\nYou might want to pay attention to these signs of disconnection in a relationship. If you notice these things happening in your relationship\, you may need to decide what to do next. \n\nYou have a lot of fights. If you fight regularly\, this could be one of the major signs of disconnection in a relationship.\nYou don’t makeup or try to repair after a fight. When you aren’t making up after a fight\, this could indicate that you are feeling disconnected from your partner.\nYou have forgotten how to communicate with each other. You might think\, I feel disconnected from my partner and don’t know how to communicate with them\, in some cases.\nYour partner irritates you. Have you noticed that your partner is getting on your nerves more than usual? This could be because you are feeling disconnected and distant from them.\nYou aren’t being intimate sexually. You guys can be intimate in non-sensual ways like talking about your day. When you are not physically intimate with each other\, however\, this could cause you to feel disconnected sexually.\n\n  \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Work can fuel disconnection \nWhat are some of the root causes of relationship disconnection?\nA disconnect in a relationship can be caused by a variety of factors. You may have been drifting apart for some time\, don’t have as much time to spend with each other as you once did\, or one or both of you may have stopped putting in the effort you once did. \nWhen you find yourself in a disconnected relationship\, you must decide whether you want to work hard to reconnect or if it is time to move on. It is important to note that any relationship can become disconnected at times. \nThis is not something to be concerned about. People get busy\, and they may be unaware that they are not being as intimate or connecting as they once were. When you notice a loss of connection in a relationship\, this is the time to act. \n  \n  \n  \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Strengthen your relationship now! \nReconnect & Rekindle the Love. Strengthen Your Relationship Now!\nHow do you fix a relationship that is disconnected?\nDiscuss your feelings with your partner. Tell them about the signs of disconnection in your duo’s relationship that you’ve noticed\, and see if you can come up with solutions to these problems. \nIncrease your intimacy. If you are feeling disconnected\, you may need to increase your intimacy with each other. You can begin by talking to one another and spending time with one another to see if this improves how you interact. You may not have had the time to spend together that you would have liked\, but you must make time to hang out since this is quite important. \nConsult a coach or counselor. Rebuilding your relationship may require the assistance of a professional. To address signs of disconnection in a relationship\, consider working with a therapist. They should be able to assist you in learning how to communicate more effectively and working through any issues that are bothering you. \nIf you want to learn how to maintain a healthy relationship with Eric and Elaine – connect with us below! \nSTART RIGHT STAY RIGHT ON-DEMAND RELATIONSHIP AND PREMARITAL COURSE \nCOACHING SERVICES \n

SUMMARY:STAND! CONFRONTING THE DIVISION BETWEEN BLACK MEN AND WOMEN
DESCRIPTION:Join us – Eric and Elaine in The STAND! to strengthen Negro relationships disproportionately affected by familial social injustice\, media misrepresentation\, and systemic economic racism. Our mantra is… \n\nPosterity is Prosperity! \n\nWe live by the principle that there is no success in separation. As a nation of people\, we need tools and strategies\, but more importantly\, we need relationships! Listen\, conflict and relationship issues do not discriminate. At some point\, every relationship faces conflict\, regardless of race\, nationality\, economic background\, or religion. But let’s face it\, Black couples are at a considerable disadvantage due to a myriad of stressors that must not remain unaddressed. Statistics indicate a growing concern for the Black family\, especially our Black youth. That’s right when conflict arises in many Black homes; intimate partner violence can become deadly even for our little Black children. \nRally behind this STAND! Campaign as e2 addresses the need for services to the growing number of families disproportionately affected by familial social injustice\, media misrepresentation\, and systemic economic racism. \nOur inaugural STAND! series is reaching single Millennial professionals and married couples of the African Diaspora seeking answers to their challenges to develop and maintain healthy relationships.
